Well, I finally did it, started a blog. i'm making lots of mixes these days, and finding it increasingly hard to share them on facebook, etc... and thought - why not? Hopefully someone will enjoy my habit of playing records and sharing the highlights!
So...... I've made a mix of my most formative techno/rave tracks, back from when techno, trance, breaks and bleeps were all the same thing (about 1989-1993). It's not for the meek, as it runs for about 3 hours/45 tracks, but I'm really pleased with the result. It was several days in the making, and comprises the bulk of my "secret" stash of memorable tracks from the period. Hopefully you'll find some stuff you haven't heard before that you can love. there are lots more "seminal" and "important" records that were part of rave and acid house - this is just sorta my take on the ones that stuck with me the most throughout the years, and some "unknown gems" that have become part of my personal history for whatever bevy of reasons. i also MADE some records fit in here because i wanted them in the mix, so it sorta jumps a little (and winds up fast as fuck) but it's all in good fun.
